These terms are an agreement between you and FishWizz. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use FishWizz.
FishWizz suggests where and how to fish. It is a planning aid and nothing more.
You need an account to use FishWizz. You must be at least 13, provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and remain responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@fishwizz.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your catches, photos, notes, gear, and spots belong to you. We claim no ownership. You grant us only the limited licence needed to run the service: to store, process, and display your content back to you, and to process photos you upload for gear recognition. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

FishWizz is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We rely on third-party providers (Supabase, Cloudflare, Google, and public weather and water-data sources) and on data they publish; outages or inaccuracies in those sources will affect the app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that fishing recommendations, conditions, species information, regulatory summaries, or water data are accurate, complete, or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FishWizz will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or property damage arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You may delete your account at any time from My FishWizz → Delete account. We may terminate or suspend access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections 2 (as to licences already ended), 5, 6, and 8 survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Minnesota have exclusive jurisdiction — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use FishWizz after that means you accept the new terms.
